Before E.A.E.S.S. was created, Amelia had an experimental group called Pyramid of Egypt. Pyramid of Egypt was created soley to find out if an Egyptological society would be possible to create and maintain 1. in an area with not much to offer for archaeological enthusiasts and 2. for someone who is only 18 yrs old.

About E.A.E.S.S.

E.A.E.S.S.= Egyptology and Ancient Egypt Studies Society.

E.A.E.S.S. was created in Tulsa, Ok. The Founder and director of the society is Amelia Alexander, who since a young age was fascinated with Ancient Egypt. The fascinated eventually grew into passions which lead into her career in Egyptology. That is what prompted her into creating E.A.E.S.S.

There were no establishments, colleges or societies, locally, for the study of Egyptology. Nor were there in any of the neighboring states.  Frustrated with the fact that she was not able to pursue her career or share the passion of it with anyone without travelling far, she began 'Pyramid of Egypt', at only 16 yrs of age.

E.A.E.S.S. was originally created in 2003 as the 'Pyramid of Egypt'. This was an Experimental group. Created purely to discover if an Egyptological society could be created and thrive in a location that has had no connection to this field of study.

The experiment went well. So Amelia began work on a permanent society. Soon she had created E.A.E.S.S. The name that says it all; Egyptology and Ancient Egypt Studies Society.

IMPORTANT:

At the time being the society is free to join for membership or to just receive the newsletter and join meetings and lectures (without the benefits of a member).

But as the society grows a fee may be required. A notice will be given, though, WELL in advance. And for those whom were members before the notice is given, there will be a one time discounted rate.
